Keeping the creative flame alive.

one

Defying Gravity

With a curious nature, I get hungry to experiment and create cool stuff. And as a pole dancer of 11 years, it provides even more of a gateway to create content that is unique and gravity-defying. I was lucky to work with some talented people to bring these projects to life.

This levitation shoot was one of my favourites. Working with the one & only Kurt (Blackbulb Imagery), the idea was to give the perception of “floating” on air. We went to some remote locations, started hovering, and voilà! No props were used ;)

The Notorious Erica

Heavily influenced by my sister’s love of hip hop music, and how legendary she is as a person, I would write her a birthday rap every year to commemorate her existence. But for her 30th, I always envisioned having this milestone rap recorded in a professional studio with a film clip.

One of her favourite artists is the notorious B.I.G., so I used his song ‘Juicy’, overhauled the lyrics, and had it recorded and mixed by my good friend and sound-engineering wizard, Chris. Put those speakers up.

ART OF POLE

Photographer: PhotoStudio Sydney

I was approached by two former colleagues to create this piece. A chance to experiment with the intricate and strength-orientated moves of pole dance.

This shoot spanned across seven hours, and we were faced with many challenges including the subject constantly spinning, a studio built for classes (not shoots), and the steady increase of muscle fatigue in an attempt to execute the moves correctly. But the final result was worth the pain.

10 years of dance

How does one commemorate 10 years of pole dance?

By getting your creative partner in crime to make a piece like this. This was made in early 2022, in commemoration of all the skin lost and bruises obtained from this vertical sport.

We made a teaser, and a full-length video, and aimed to create a cinematic experience.

CLOUD 9

One day, Leslie the great (a well-known photographer in the dance space), asked to shoot with me. I happily obliged.

So when he asked me if I’d like to hold up some clouds, I was ready and willing.
